There are Trillions of possibilities especially when it comes down to something as miniscule as an outdated piece of software (jerry rigging it) to work with a 64 bit advanced OS. I could only recommend a general registry cleaner to others having this issue. My brand new PC came with an Office 2010 trial so I couldn't install Office 2007, and when eventually I did, it in turn prevented me from installing Office 2000! I tricked the eraser2k.exe into running under Windows XP. JSI Tip 9369. The Microsoft documentation gives a lead on this but I didn't take out some of the low level stuff.
