Thanks Glyn. On looking at your site as to what he would actually need there does not appear to indicate a UK version and indicate them as US versions. Dear Glynn,I am one of the lucky ones that installed Money 2005 + update to Version 126.96.36.1995 on XP emulation within Windows 7 Professional OS. Hi Benthe trick is also that you need to open a new file. I've reinstalled MSMoney 2004 with no problem. It is using XP compatibility mode and has me set as the administrator. Go ahead and update the data.Your Microsoft Money data will now be imported into a Quicken data file.

Tried running as Administrator, uninstalling antivirus, etc, as suggested on another foum. Everytime I open my son's I have to restore from a backup. The obvious device of just hitting return when I get the password prompt doesn't work. Did you install the program correctly to both machines.

This is quite a common problem and is to do with an un-updated version of Money 2005. The programme works most of the time but occasionaly I enter some transactions then the next time I open money the latest transactions have vanished. When loading on Windows 7 (64) it won't open the file, says it is corrupted, but same file returned to the Vista machine has no problem. hi Eddiewhen you start Money, do not open your file but check out the version on help->about.
