Odd thing is my 2nd PC is changed over to Rovi and working fine. Restart media center a. I think I can manually program it but haven't tried it yet. Reply Steveinhillctry July 27, 2015 I'm also getting guide data for a few stations (which aren't actually receivable.) Guide provider still listed as zap2it. Mr. Luckily I can use the Hauppauge tuner and scheduler for now until ms and rovi get their shit together. Thank you.
With some debugging I found that the television guide was not updating correctly for my over antenna signals. You will need to go through the entire "Setup TV Signal" process in (WMC) order for my work around to load the guide (10 minutes or so). From this article (http://www.thedigitalmediazone.com/2015/07/08/microsoft-breathes-new-life-into-media-center-guide/) we can see that Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data was converted from Zap2It to Rovi. For me, in Houston, TX, zip code 77054 was the winner, even though my zip code is 77071. Thanks for the "New Life" Microsoft!!
Uninstalling and reinstalling WMC has resulted in the same error, effectively rendering my HTPC useless. GUIDE LISTINGS UPDATE COMPLETED. I have flushed my DNS, changed my DNS server, flushed my old EPG, and have tried at least 10 zip codes around me. I record quite a few movies, and those which I haven't already seen are largely chosen based on guide ratings and reviews.

I can start up with safe with networking, get on, and it is ok, and gets me on line, and all. Everything was working great until past several days when I continually got a notice that guide was out of date and scheduled recordings weren't working correctly. I am literally 10 hours into this and am NOT a computer person, but have tried everything.
