Maybe they heard the feedback from the WMC community and have decided not to abandon it at this point. Great work. The user can recover a corrupted Guide data store back to the last known good state by running a Windows Media Center task from Task Scheduler. 1.Close Windows Media Center. 2.Open Rovi Guide Listings Prior to this I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why the guide had no data and was not updating even when it said it had successfully downloaded.

I was down to about 100 gigs of free space and was moving stuff over to a spare external drive and couldn't get the space back, like to know what maneuver Go into SetUpTV Signal and use your original zip code and it should connect to the new Rovi guide listing. The issue was easy to see when opening the guide which looked a lot like the screenshot below. Takes me to a page not found. I've been with Microsoft since 1981 so it's time to move on. You should review your recordings to verify they are still scheduled correctly.
